"The kairos, a dimension of time that has nothing to do with the linear notion of chronos (physical time), could be considered as another dimension of time creating depth in the moment. It is about another perception of the universe, of the event, of the self. An immaterial notion of time measured not by the watch, but by feeling. "
Until a few days ago, our lives were partly slowed down: time sometimes seemed to be frozen, crystallized... In my work as a photographer, I like to personify, to give "life" to concepts or ideas through characters. This is how "Kairos" was born.
Here is my own vision of this parenthesis that we lived during this year 2020.

During the year 2020, our lives were partly slowed down: time sometimes seemed frozen, crystallised. In my work as a photographer, I like to personify abstract notions, to give "life" to concepts or ideas through characters. This is how "Kairos" was born. This strong and combative-looking female figure seems to be fearless. However, some visual details seem to undermine this courage, allowing us to perceive a deeper and more fragile dimension.
The symbolism of the horse, but also references to mythology and sculptural representations, reinforce the idea of fearlessness, but not indestructible. The last image in the series, which represents an unreal flower, brings the notion of duality that we constantly find in life, nature and in human beings: despite the many battles we may encounter and the darkness that these can sometimes engender, life always takes over and finds a way to triumph.
